Depression

Depression is something that we all may have felt we experienced at one point or another. I know there were times for me when I didn’t want to get out of bed, be around people, feel like talking. And sometimes when I go through things these feelings/emotions still present themselves.

However clinically in order for you to be diagnosed with depression you have to fit certain criterion.

There are also different classification of depression such as :

  • Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder ,

  • Major Depressive Disorder

  • Persistent Depressive Disorder

  • Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder

  • Substance/Medication - induced Depressive Disorder

  • Depressive Disorder due to another medical condition

  • Other specified Depressive Disorder

  • Unspecified Depressive Disorder

The common theme amongst all of these disorders are the presence of irritable moods accompanied by somatic and cognitive changes that will affect a persons ability to function.

The Difference between all of these are the timing , duration and etiology ( the cause , or manner of causation of a disease or a condition )

If there is a particular disorder that you see up here that you would like me to elaborate more on drop it in the comment section and I’ll be sure to do it as soon as possible.
