ATLANTIC CITY - THINGS TO DO

Hey y’all,

So as in my previous post I stated that I stayed in AC at the Hard Rock Hotel. While in AC we planned to do a couple of things such as explore other hotels, eat at some restaurants other than our hotel restaurant and activities.

This isn’t my first time visiting Atlantic City I normally come during the summer time for a day trip. This time it was March so it was interesting to see the differences.

The first night we went to Morton’s Steak House at Ceasars Hotel. It was empty besides two other couples. Our reservations was for 10:00 we arrived around 9:40. We saw a sign stating that they close at 10pm so you could imagine our confusion. Anyhow the service was great, I mean hey it was only two other tables with people. When I made the resveration I told them that it was my boyfriend birthday and they created a custom menu which I thought was very sweet. The waiter told us that the crowd varies in the off season. That some nights it’s crowded and other nights it’s empty. Though at first it felt strange I just told my boyfriend that I rented out the restaurant for him lol it was actually a nice experience. We shared garlic mash potatoes and creamed spinach. He had steak and I had chicken ( I know why get chicken at a steak house 🙄 , I don’t eat beef )

On Friday we headed to Atlantic CIty Aquarium. Before we got there we both were hungry so we decided to eat at a place called Back Bay Ale House. It was umm..interesting. It felt secluded but we decided to go in anyway. The restaurant has a home look to it , it isn’t modern. Everyone was nice. Our waiter told us that it was the last day of restaurant week so we both had Jerk wings as appetizer shrimp po boy as entrees and cheesecake for dessert. The food on a scale of 1-10 was 7. We also had a drink called the Bob Marley which was good. If you’re visiting the aquarium and don’t want to go far for food this is an option.

Aquarium:

Okay let’s get into the aquarium. The admission was $10.00 it was super small. I was a little disappointed I won’t lie because I love aquariums but hey we were already there so we made the best of it. They had fish tanks with some huge fish that I never saw before so that was cool. They also had a few touch tanks which was cool as well. It has three floors but the top floor I feel doesn’t count cause there’s really nothing up there to see. I think if your bored and have some extra funds check it out you may like it but yeah it’s not the best aquarium.

Boardwalk:

Last day there we decided to hit the board walk. It was Saturday and more people were out and more stores were open. It was warmer as well. On the boardwalk there are shopping stores, other hotels an amusement park ( which doesn’t open until spring ) restaurants and an arcade. We decided to hit the arcade it was small but fun in the sense of something to do. I watched my boyfriend lose money as he used a claw machine to try to win me a stuffed animal. We played skee-ball , then he played a game of hoops to win another stuffed animal. They also had go-karts which I plan to do next time we visit. On the way back to the hotel we stopped at the haunted house. I say that it may be scary for kids because there are a lot of sound effects but for us it wasn’t exciting. They do have a coffin ride which I opted out of because I didn’t like the idea of getting in a coffin but the woman who worked there said that everyone loves it and some people even stopped it half way through from being too scared.

Thanks for reading I hope this gives you an idea of some things to do when in AC !
